Helmut Matthies was a lead investor and founding partner of ProteoSys GmbH.
He brings a broad experience of over 25 years in business and management to his position. He started off in the consultancy business and worked then for nearly 20 years within the Young & Rubicam Group. In his last position he served as CEO Europe heading 24 countries with approx. 1.500 employees for Y&R‘s WCJ line of business. Mr. Matthies received a degree in Business Administration from the University of Giessen.

Prof. Dr. André Schrattenholz was co-founder and Chief Science Officer of ProteoSys GmbH.
After studies of biology and chemistry at the University of Mainz, Germany and the University of California in San Diego and Berkeley, he became group leader and lecturer in molecular neurobiology at the Institute of Physiological Chemistry and Pathobiochemistry of the University of Mainz. Main area of research focus is signal transduction in the nervous system: in particular biochemistry and electrophysiology of ligand-gated ion channels.
